Gelli Plate Technique 2, Project Reveal: Elizabeth

Join us over the next few weeks as we explore making colorful prints using a Gelli Arts Gelli Plate.  We've even slid our art tables side-by-side and took pictures for you each step along the way!  Not only that, the fun continues as we share our “reveal” posts showing how our individual prints were transformed into creative projects.

Resist technique inspiration found HERE

This is my finished Gelli Plate resist print that was created "here".

And this is how I used the print...
This technique was so much fun.
A stencil from a die cut (Interlocking) was used to create the pattern
over Penny Black's gold embossed paper.
The multi-colored effect is a result of blended Gelatos.

In this close up you can see texture of the Creative Medium that was applied to the finished print.  The subtle shine is a wonderful complement to the gold embossed paper.

The shaped window was die cut with Feather & Frames (Penny Black) and then the whole panel was elevated on the front of the card base with dimensional foam.  This sentiment from Penny Black's Kind Words stamped in Onyx Black VersaFine is one of my favorites.  Perfect for every day all year round!

Stay tuned...next week we will be sharing our third Gelli Plate technique.
